LCI’S HELICOPTER FINANCING SINCE 2019 TOPS US$1BN

LCI, a leading aviation leasing company, today announced that it has raised over US$1 billion of helicopter capital since 2019.

The figure relates to financings and refinancings through to the 30th June, 2021, and covers a total of 25 transactions sourced from over 20 separate financial institutions.

Jaspal Jandu, CEO of LCI, said: “With a forecast of over 7,000 commercial helicopter deliveries in the next 10 years, it is vital that we all help secure a strong capital base for this industry.

“Helicopters are eminently financeable assets and we have attracted new and diverse capital into the market by demonstrating their virtues which include long economic lives, full power-by-the-hour coverage, and mission-critical contracts.

“LCI has worked tirelessly through a very challenging market to achieve this landmark and I am extremely grateful for the innovation, dedication and hard work of the entire team.”

With a sound commercial strategy and highly experienced senior management team who have worked together for almost 10 years, LCI has consistently grown in scale and value since 2012.

Its fleet comprises approximately US$1 billion of assets in service, on order and under management, focused on the latest technology medium and super medium helicopters manufactured by leading helicopter OEMs including Leonardo, Airbus and Sikorsky.

These are in operation across six continents in multiple sectors including emergency medical services, offshore wind, search and rescue, maritime pilot transfer and oil-and-gas transportation.
