Praveen Vetrivel joins growing team at LCI

Praveen Vetrivel has joined the growing team at LCI as the company’s Commercial Analyst.

Vetrivel, 24, was previously with the UK aviation consultancy IBA Group, where he was an Aviation Analyst. An engineer by profession, he holds an Engineering Degree from Madras University, and a postgraduate degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University.

His role at LCI will include responsibility for the development of value and economic forecasting models, and the preparation of market reviews and strategic analyses. He will report to Jaspal Jandu, Vice President, Strategic Marketing at LCI.

LCI Appoints Martin Siegrist as VP Technical

LCI has announced the appointment of Martin Siegrist as Vice President, Technical.

Siegrist, 45, was previously Vice President Engineering & Planning at Swiss International Air Lines. From 2000 to 2002, he was the Technical Director of Flightlease, the aircraft lessor.

His responsibilities will include the technical oversight of LCI’s current aircraft portfolio and he will be actively involved in its further development Siegrist will report to Crispin Maunder, Chief Executive Officer of LCI, and will be based at LCI’s headquarters in Dublin.

Maunder says: “We’re delighted to have an executive of Martin’s calibre and extensive experience join our leadership team and are sure he will make an important contribution to LCI’s development in the years ahead.”

LCI’s former Vice President, Technical, Pete Davis has returned to Australia and will be providing technical consulting services to LCI and supporting its new regional marketing presence out of Singapore.

LCI Expands Asia-Pacific Presence

LCI has announced the opening of a Singapore office through the formation of a new Singapore based aircraft lessor. Singapore Commercial Leasing Pte Ltd will represent LCI and support its business development in the Asia-Pacific region. Like LCI, Singapore Commercial Leasing is a member of the Libra Group. The Singapore based operation will be led by Nigel Leishman in the role of Vice President Marketing.

Leishman, 40, joins the company from AWAS where he was Vice President Sales, based in Singapore, working with airlines throughout Asia. He was previously Customer Marketing Director for Airbus Industrie, based initially in Toulouse and then in Sydney, where he was responsible for its marketing activity throughout the Pacific region.

The new Singapore office comes soon after the acquisition of a Boeing 747- 400F on lease with Singapore Airlines Cargo. The aircraft, which was manufactured in 1997 and previously owned by Icelease, is on an 8-year operating lease with the Singapore-based carrier.
