The Sikorsky S-92A is a twin-engine, medium-lift helicopter that can be adapted for a variety of missions including search and rescue, offshore oil transportation, civil transport and utility transport.

It accommodates 19 passengers with comparable seating space to a fixed-wing commercial airliner in a 733 sq ft (68.1 m2) interior cabin area which can also be configured to accommodate up to three airline-style LD3 cargo containers. The S-92A cabin is 6 feet high by 6 feet wide, which allows most people full standing room.Additional stowage space is available in the 140 sq ft (13 m2) area located in the aft ramp compartment.

The S-92A is powered by twin GE CT7-8A turboshaft engines.

These machines, fitted with Turbomeca Arriel 1S1 engines, continue to be productive assets for operators worldwide and Sikorsky solidly supports them through its Sikorsky Aerospace Services division.
