Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)
AAM technologies, such as vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) offer new ways of moving people and payloads without the need for airport infrastructure.
The flexibility of AAM lends itself to mission critical roles with applications including:
- disaster relief
- firefighting
- humanitarian operations
- commercial logistics
LCI has invested significantly in the AAM sector, and in January 2023 signed an agreement for up to 40 Chaparral VTOL aircraft from Elroy Air. LCI signed an agreement with BETA Technologies in April 2022 to acquire up to 125 of their electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
LCI’s commitment to AAM will enable the company to sustainably support mission critical operations including humanitarian, aerial firefighting, cargo logistics and disaster relief, across the globe.
