Solicitor / Commercial Negotiator, Legal - Dublin

LCI Operations Limited, a market leading full-service helicopter lessor and aircraft manager, currently seeks a 2-5 yr PQE qualified solicitor, or similarly experienced commercial negotiator, to join the Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing platform with a highly experienced team of professionals. Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will be part of an expanding legal team with the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, negotiating and drafting documents related to a wide range of transactional documents in respect of our aircraft leasing business including aircraft lease, purchase, sale, financing and corporate documentation
  • Manage transactions from Letter of Intent to contract execution
  • Ensure transaction documentation and corporate governance/compliance deliverables are completed to meet deadlines and in accordance with company standards and policies
  • Customer facing role in contract negotiations with aircraft operators, financiers, manufacturers and other counterparties and stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in deal teams and coordinate input from other internal teams (technical, commercial, marketing, accounts etc.) and external advisors into transaction negotiation and documentation
  • Collaborating on interesting and varied projects with functions across the company
  • Managing and coordinating outside counsel across diverse jurisdictions
  • Qualified Solicitor in Ireland or the UK or other common law jurisdiction, or other equivalent and applicable experience
  • 2 to 5 years’ post qualification experience at a law firm and/or in-house
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English, willing to work from our Dublin office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aviation and equipment financing experience
  • Significant experience in similar role, preferably with an international aircraft leasing company or law firm
  • Strong understanding of aviation leasing and financing
  • Transactional experience with knowledge of corporate compliance and governance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with counterparties around the globe
  • Self-motivated, flexible, commercial acumen with the ability to work independently and as part of the legal team and with cross-functional teams throughout an organization and in multiple jurisdictions
  • Performance driven with a strong sense of ownership, work ethic, professional integrity, personal judgement and confidentiality
