Within two years of the company’s formation LCI had created a balanced portfolio of wide and narrow-bodied commercial aircraft. We are constantly updating and renewing the portfolio but adhere to our core philosophy of maintaining a young, modern and relevant fleet.
Today our operational fleet comprises Airbus and Boeing aircraft including eight new A330-300s that completed delivery in 2010. The aircraft are all placed with leading international carriers including Singapore Airlines, Asiana and Air France.
We constantly analyze global market dynamics in order to accommodate both current and anticipated demand. With this in mind, LCI became the first international lessor to commit to the ground-breaking Bombardier CSeries, signing a firm agreement for the purchase of three CS100 and 17 CS300 aircraft. We have also taken options on a further 20 CSeries aircraft.
Market studies carried out by us reveal considerable demand for aircraft in the 100- to 149-seat category over the next two decades that is perfectly served by the CSeries family. The aircraft bring unmatched fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, performance, and operating economics, benefiting from the latest technological advances.
We continue to scrutinise customer demand patterns in order to provide our lessees with flexible, off-balance-sheet access to the most appropriate assets.
